This classic ring-of-rocks was created in the 1970's and used for seven baptisms in 1997 by the Gorokan Baptist Church. It remains a popular social and recreational pool for locals and holiday-makers.

My beautiful sister & her proud new husband were married last weekend.

Entwined branches of the willow tree formed circles which served as halos for delicate balls of cream silk tissue, threaded on long strands of white cotton. Floating amongst the tissue, brown paper hearts filled with merino wool, stitched closed with pale lemon embroidery thread.

During the commitment their two year old son, Bayden, chose a red rose from the antique rose petals that formed the aisle, and handed the flower to his mother. He wore pink ballet slippers which belonged to the flower girl ;)

Here are the bridal party photographs taken by the incredibly talented Justin Aveling.....

Jody had a real issue with shoes when she was younger. She is too grounded for those sorts of things. So in keeping with her desire for bare feet & divine beauty we threaded our own footless sandals with Swarovski crystals.

For good luck a rose quartz mala (Buddhist prayer beads blessed by Rinpoche) broke at the end of the evening.....

...at the end of this beautiful shoot Noah kindly offered Lawson a rice cracker. My ego stepped in and asked Lawson to say thank you. Noah kindly reminded me that wasn't necessary... "Oh, he doesn't have to say that. We speak the same language. Except ours sounds more like jibber jabber jibber jabber jibber..." and he danced off toward the palm trees. Lawson stood unfazed, munching on his snack. I was left standing there with a strong feeling of embarrassment, amazement and a strong connection to the divine beings that we call children. Oh we have so much to learn....

I have been working on re-branding Innocent Eyes Photography. Those of you who know us well will have noticed changes taking place over the past two years. The business takes shape as we grow with Lawson and rediscover the world through the eyes of the children we work with. Lots of colour is emerging as our senses awaken and we capture more and more imagery. I have been working on illustrations which you will see emerge over the next few weeks. Nido Organics

Nido organics http://www.nidoorganics.com.au has just updated their site with online shopping facilities and new images from Innocent Eyes Photography. I had fun creating this nest with Willow and above ground root systems from the huge the Morton bay fig trees in our area. We have the entire Nido range and honestly, I am in LOVE. The brains behind the business, Sascha Jones, grew up learning lots from her father who worked for a company making mattresses. Spending time at her Dads work, she watched them being treated by resting the mattresses over chemical baths long enough to soak up the fumes of the chemical before being packaged up and sent out for us to sleep on! This experience became th e driving force for Nido Organics. Funnily enough, Justin and I we were in search for the perfect natural, chemical free mattress and in the interim, purchased a normal run of the mill one. We had to leave the it in the plastic packaging it came in, cover it with blankets and even then it filled Lawson's room with a smell I will never forget. We ended up destroying the mattress and having to organize alternative sleeping arrangements until our Nido futon arrived. Im am not lying when I tell you I smile every time put Lawson down and kiss him good night. I am so happy to know he can sleep without harm and stay warm and cosy.
